Basic Function:

Coordinate and assist in the planning and management of a designated educational outreach program. Reports to designated supervisor.

Examples of Duties:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

Coordinate designated educational outreach program(s); ensure policies and guidelines are followed.

Evaluate program(s) and make recommendations for change as needed.

Coordinate finances for assigned special events or programs.

May recruit, train, and supervise instructors for program(s).

May prepare and/or develop program/course materials; distribute materials to appropriate parties.

Provide information to students/clients and serve as spokesperson for the program.

Prepare and maintain mandatory program documentation and records.

Coordinate meetings, conferences, and special activities.

Collaborate with schools, departments, colleges, faculty members, external organizations, and others regarding program(s).

May perform consultative services and skills assessment services with clients.

May supervise students and provide functional guidance to support staff and other employees working on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis.

Perform related duties as assigned.
 

Employees assigned to a sales role may be responsible for the following duties:

Identify and meet with client prospects, including but not limited to human resource managers, operations managers, decision-makers, executives, professionals, and employees, to present information about the university’s services and products

Utilize consultative selling techniques to uncover organizations’ and individuals’ educational needs and to sell the university’s services and products

Write proposals, contacts, and training plans that reflect organizations’ needs and the university’s solutions

Maintain electronic records utilizing client relationship management software
 

Employees assigned to NYC Studio location may be responsible for the following duties:

Assist in the development and implementation of special programs, services, and on-and-off campus activities designed to meet the unique needs of NYC Study-Away Program students; attendance at some evening and weekend events will be required.

Under guidance from the Director, NYC Studio, coordinate promotion, marketing, and communications for the NYC Studio program through the development and distribution of various materials both internally and externally.

Assist in developing and organizing information sessions, orientations, and other events for students and community members; clarify and communicate program mission, purpose, and details to interested parties.

Update and maintain NYC Studio internship database; prepare internship files and forms; communicate with external organizations regarding internship opportunities for communication to students.

Coordinate the international and guest student application process at the NYC Studio.

Design, develop, and produce visual materials including original identity elements into an effective printed or electronic communications product for instruction, publication and display.

Coordinate production with internal and external suppliers related to the management of materials, including contracting for printing and production services.

Ensure that all design work follows university graphic standards and quality control principles; edit and proofread copy when necessary.

May serve as photographer for the NYC studio.

Build a strong working relationship and maintaining communication with NYC internship providers to ensure programs are aligned with student and university interests; maintain a level of program quality that mirrors the university‘s standards.


Employees assigned to Stark Campus Global Education Initiatives position may be responsible for the following duties:

Assist with the successful coordination and execution of Global Education Initiatives through advising, counseling, administrative services, and special programming to international students at the Stark Campus, including but not limited to academic programs, admissions, and visas; coordinate with Office of Global Education (OGE) for study abroad opportunities for Stark Campus students.

Assist in the development and implementation of special programs, services, and on-and-off campus activities designed to meet the unique needs of international students; attendance at evening and weekend events will be required.

Plan a variety of participant gatherings for international students with community hosts, counsel students on cultural adjustments, and liaise student participants with other on-campus support services as needed.

Build a strong working relationship and maintaining communication with OGE to ensure programs are aligned with student and university interests; maintain a level of program quality that mirrors the university‘s standards.

Assist in ensuring terms are met regarding program requirements; ensure international students have completed all required forms, including visa and immigration documents; forward completed forms to appropriate university departments.

Develop and organize information sessions, orientations, and other events for students and community members; clarify and communicate program mission, purpose, and details to interested parties.
 

Employees assigned to the Prison Education program may be responsible for the following duties:

Maintain electronic records utilizing relationship management software.

Under guidance from the Project Lead, coordinate promotion, marketing, and communications for the program through the distribution of various materials both internally and externally.

Assist in organizing information sessions, orientations, and other events for students and community members; clarify program mission, purpose, and details to interested parties.

Design, develop, and produce visual materials including original identity elements into an effective printed or electronic communications product for instruction, publication and display.

Coordinate production with internal and external suppliers related to the management of materials, including contracting for printing and production services.

Ensure that all design work follows university graphic standards and quality control principles; edit and proofread copy when necessary.

Plan participant gatherings for students, counsel students on cultural adjustments, and liaise student participants with other support services as needed.

Assist in ensuring terms are met regarding program requirements; ensure students have completed all required forms; forward completed forms to appropriate university departments.

Develop and organize information sessions, orientations, and other events for students and community members; clarify and communicate program mission, purpose, and details to interested parties.

Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable:

 
  • Coordinate designated educational outreach program(s); ensure policies and guidelines are followed.
  • Assist with library-related tasks and services as assigned.
  • Support students with research questions and help them locate library materials.
  • Learn and use the library system to support tasks such as checking materials in and out or assisting with resource access.
  • Participate in the preparation and support of outreach and engagement events held in the library.
  • Ensure that all testing protocols are followed for each test administered in the Testing Center.
  • Coordinate with the Office of Student Accessibility Services when working with students with accommodations.
  • Complete and regularly update proctoring credentials for all testing platforms including but not limited to Accuplacer and Meazure.
  • Assist with the development of student tutoring schedules to ensure the proper office coverage to meet the needs of the students.
  • May recruit, train, and supervise students.
  • May supervise and provide functional guidance to support staff and other employees working on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis.
  • Provide information to students/clients and serve as spokesperson for the program.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and/or develop program/course materials; distribute materials to appropriate parties.
  • Prepare and maintain mandatory program documentation and records.
  • Coordinate meetings, conferences, and special activities.
  • Collaborate with schools, departments, colleges, faculty members, external organizations, and others regarding program(s).
  • May perform consultative services and skills assessment services with clients.
  • Regularly scheduled to work one evening each week.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Two years of relevant experience.

Employees assigned to a sales role must possess consultative selling experience, including qualifying prospects, defining needs, questioning and listening, and closing the sale.
