Basic Function: |
Responsible for representing Kent State University to prospective graduate students, and school/community contacts. Help execute and be an active part of fulfilling the graduate recruitment components of the recruitment plan in coordination with academic college partners. Responsible for planning and implementing recruitment activities including visits at designated colleges and universities, attending graduate college fairs, and individual meetings. Provide support and guidance to prospective students from inquiry through enrollment. Reports to Director, National Recruitment in Admissions. |

Examples of Duties: |
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: Serve as primary point of contact for graduate prospective students from first inquiry through enrollment. Provide responses to inquiries and engage in strategic outreach at each stage of a student's progression through the enrollment process. Work directly with departmental leadership on goal setting, strategic action plans and yield strategies to include providing advice on short-term and long-term strategic planning activities and recruitment goals. Work with academic departments to help them achieve their programs’ recruitment goals. Participate in recruitment activities including information sessions, webinars, and other events. Coordinate recruitment for prospective graduate students, including setting up tours and events; facilitate connections between prospective students and individual academic units. Consult with prospective students on degree options. Collaborate with various university departments and initiatives (i.e. Student Success Programs, Division of People, Culture and Belonging, Academic Engagement and Degree Completion, etc.) to maximize the results of graduate student recruitment. Perform related duties as assigned. |

Minimum Qualifications: |
Master’s degree in relevant field and two years' progressively responsible experience in admissions. License/Certification:
Knowledge Of: Academic programs Skill In: Verbal, written and interpersonal communication Ability To: Work closely with and demonstrate sensitivity to individuals with diverse backgrounds |
