Detailed Description: |
The Division of Student Affairs seeks an individual with a strong commitment to inclusive excellence and a strong interest in working at a mission driven, faith-based institution. The role of the Program Coordinator in supporting students and the USD Community responsibilities of the position are significantly tethered in the university's contemporary Roman Catholic mission and commitment to creating an equitable, welcoming community for all. Serve as the initial point of contact for leave of absence and withdrawal requests for undergraduate students. Manage the process and communication with students. Establish and provide ongoing, inclusive, and collaborative outreach to support students throughout various transitions while at the University. Supervise and lead student staff to create and foster a dynamic, inclusive, and engaging space in the Center for Student Success. Coordinate a mentorship collaborative of existing programs at USD to support the needs of the undergraduate students we will be serving by 2024 and specific student groups with lower retention and graduation rates. Serves as first point of contact with visitors calling or visiting the office when student support staff are not available. Periodically, this position may be asked to lead or contribute to either ad hoc or ongoing division/campus projects outside the scope of their day-to-day activities.

As certain aspects of your job may change, this position may be eligible for a differential pay rate based on added responsibilities and requirements. These additional duties may include:
The employee would be performing these duties on a daily basis when working with their assigned student cohort of new first year and transfer student athletes. This will include meetings in person, phone calls, and answering written inquiries. In addition, the employee will be expected to attend regular meetings and trainings. Special Conditions of Employment: Background check: Successful completion of a pre-employment background check. Degree Verification Requirement: Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes. |

Posting Salary: |
$20.17 - $26.72 per hour; Excellent Benefits The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget. |
