      Part-Time Faculty, Physical Therapy in Poughkeepsie, NY

      The School of Science invites applications for a Part-Time Faculty position within the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program for the 2025-2026 academic year. This position will focus on teaching coursework related to the area of Clinical Neuroscience, however opportunities to teach multiple/additional courses may become available. The successful candidate will join a school characterized by a strong sense of community in which students are the central focus and faculty who are both accessible and approachable. PHTH 607N - Clinical Neuroscience 4 Credits This course serves as an introduction to normal and pathological development and function of the nervous system throughout the lifespan. It serves to familiarize the student with neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, basic neuroscience and evidence-based practice literature. Emphasis is placed on the application of neuroscience in regards to sensation, movement, motor learning, perception and cognition as typically seen in physical therapy practice. Nervous system components including the spinal cord, brainstem, cerebrum and the auditory, visual and vestibular systems are reviewed. In lab activities, an introduction to the neurological assessment is integrated with clinical cases to provide practical, patient-oriented application of the course material.

The Program Director will join Marist’s School of Science at an exciting time as it prepares to launch several new programs that will be housed in a dedicated new facility.       This Database Administrator is a member of the Infrastructure Team as part of Marist Information Technology. This position’s primary responsibility is to provide database support to the production ERP suite. Secondary, this position will provide database support to multiple Marist database implementations (development, pre-production and production) including installation, configuration, performance tuning, as well as support interface and integrations. Essential technical duties include installation of database products, applying patches and upgrades, monitoring and tuning system performance, user access, database security, defining database tables, functions, views, packages, device configuration and planning. Database implementations include, but not limited to Oracle, MSSQL, AWS RDS, MySQL, and MariaDB.
