Parking Data Processing Student Assistant

Salary

Classification Range $16.50 - $24.00 per hour
Anticipated hiring range, depending on qualifications, not to exceed $17 per hour.

Work Schedule

Work schedule Monday - Friday between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM to fill 20 hours a week. The schedule will be adaptable to the student’s school schedule.
 
Must be available to work between 3 to 4 hours shift

Job Summary

The Parking Ticket Data Processing Assistant serves as assistant to the Parking Ticket Analyst. Their primary task is to support the Parking Ticket Analyst by ensuring the timeline of appeals, hearings, and Judicial Affairs cases are met.

Duties:

  • Provide clerical assistance to the Parking Ticket Analyst, including:
    • General office duties which include but are not limited to: data entry, filing, scanning, uploading files, and delivering correspondence
    • Data entry for parking ticket appeals including: adding hearing addresses, creating customer/vehicle accounts, and inputting appeals. 
    • Prepare hearing folders and judicial affairs folders for the Parking Ticket Analyst
    • Create and send notification letters via mail
    • Input and maintain monthly statistics for Parking Ticket Analyst
    • Assist walk-in customers, respond to telephone and e-mail inquiries
    • Serve as backup to customer service student assistants in resolving parking citation related inquiries
    • Assist the Parking Ticket Analyst on 2nd level hearings and assist in creating 3rd level hearing court files
    • Monitor and prepare responses to customer emails for the Parking Ticket Analyst and assist with ticket related phone calls
    • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Required Qualifications

  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license.

Background Check

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for this position. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
