Hours may extend depending on student availability and faculty/staff schedule.

Job Summary

Under direct supervision, essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Perform a variety of facilities tasks including setting up tennis/pickleball courts, helping organize equipment spaces, and answering phones
• Answer all incoming calls and emails regarding basic Master of Kinesiology Program inquiries
• Provide clerical assistance with laboratory or equipment organization
• Participate in the completion of projects alongside other student assistants and staff; serve on short-term office projects for staff and department chairs
• Assist with moving small office equipment and file boxes
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

• Must be able to work the months of August through December
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Excellent telephone, communications, and writing skills
• Ability to work in a busy office environment and perform data entry with accuracy
• Ability to effectively work with students, staff, faculty and administration
• Dependability and punctuality
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. for short periods of time

Required Qualifications

• Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
• Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
• In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
• Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
