We seek an exceptional individual to join our Information Technology - Rollout team as the Mobile Support Specialist (Technology Support Specialist I). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to inclusivity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness. Under direct supervision, the Mobile Support Specialist provides comprehensive technical support, consultation, and administration for the university’s mobile technology environment. Responsibilities include the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mobile devices and related systems, ensuring secure connectivity and reliable access to institutional technology resources. This position serves as a primary point of contact for mobile support requests, delivering Tier I–II technical assistance through multiple communication channels and ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and service issues. Manages user accounts and device configurations, assists with data migration and synchronization, and supports end-users in effectively utilizing campus technology tools and services. Additionally, the role oversees the campus mobile device program, including procurement coordination, vendor account management, inventory tracking, and service optimization. The Mobile Support Specialist applies technology support principles, analytical troubleshooting, and customer service best practices to maintain efficient, cost-effective, and compliant mobile operations. Other duties as assigned. |

Essential Qualifications |
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Relevant education and/or experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Under direct supervision, performs entry-level professional technology support duties to ensure efficient use and access of technology and information systems. Provides customer service and support to campus users and troubleshoots problems. Recognizes and analyzes trends. Performs basic technology updates and tasks following defined procedures. Project work is reviewed for understanding of professional concepts and compliance with policies and procedures. General knowledge of information technology systems, applications, and networks. General knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting and related technology support practices. Organizational and time management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize work. Attention to detail and accuracy. Analytical skills to collect and analyze information and troubleshoot problems. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, faculty, and staff to obtain pertinent information, communicate technical information to diverse audiences, and document issues and resolutions. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information. Ability to work independently and as part of a team as well as build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Computer skills to appropriately respond to IT complaints and issues. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position. |
