Job Summary

Student Assistants will work under the direct supervision of professional staff or faculty to provide support in the following areas: · Greet and escort students and visitors to faculty offices or student lounges · Assist with event setup and take down · Create, maintain, and replenish flyers in the front office · Maintain student lounges by removing outdated flyers/items, tidying up, and keeping the space neat and organized · Contribute to scheduling and calendar organization for office activities · Assist faculty with copy requests and the distribution of office supplies · Provide clerical and office support to faculty and staff when primary responsibilities are minimal · Interest or experience in social media management, including content creation and event documentation when primary duties are minimal

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Required Qualifications

• Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
• Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
• In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
• Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
