Position Summary SDSU is seeking individuals interested in temporary, hourly Assistant Athletic Trainer positions. This pool will be used to notify interested applicants when Assistant Athletic Trainer opportunities become available. Apply here to indicate your interest. Assistant Athletic Trainer: performs the full range of clinical athletic training functions, which involves the planning, organization, and delivery of daily athletic training services to students involved in athletics. Typical duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: prevent, recognize, and assess athletic injuries; implement preventive and rehabilitation programs to treat athletic injuries; inform coaching staff on the status of injuries and treatment plants; advise students on how to prevent injuries and maintain their physical condition, and regularly evaluate the physical condition of student-athletes. Assistant Athletic Trainer for Camps: provides athletic training support by working camps. When injuries occur, they serve as the first responder by recognizing and evaluating the injury, and subsequently refers to appropriate physicians or emergency care when necessary. Administratively, they will be responsible for the collection of medical history/consent and liability documents prior to the start of camp and documenting any/all injuries in the appropriate injury report form. Individuals hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego. |

Education and Experience Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in athletic training, physical education, kinesiology or related field of study or a combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities. Course work must include completion of the Board of Certification (BOC) curriculum requirements. |

Compensation Starting pay rate upon appointment is not expected to exceed:
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources. CSU Classification Salary Range: $20.60 - $39.76 per hour |
