Major Duties
Under general supervision, the Department Analyst role encompasses a range of crucial tasks, including overseeing financial reconciliation and analysis, procurement processes, and scholarship administration. Additionally, the incumbent is involved in detailed schedule planning, enrollment data analysis, and the coordination of employment processes for student assistants. Essential duties further include supporting department events, liaising across university departments, and ensuring clear communication about departmental policies and procedures.
- Tracks and manages the department's state and auxiliary funds.
- Prepares monthly financial reconciliation reports for the Department Chair and Dean’s Office.
- Processes requisitions, chargebacks, procurement card transactions, and office supply orders.
- Serves as Level 1 approver for all eTravel transactions within the department.
- Builds and audits the department's Schedule of Classes and final exams schedule.
- Runs and verifies Academic Planning Database (APDB) reports.
- Oversees the student evaluation of faculty (SEF) process and manages lecturer pools.
- Coordinates staff and student employee onboarding, recruitment, and separation processes.
- Provides mentorship during the onboarding of new department analysts.
- Supports and coordinates department events and handles hospitality paperwork efficiently.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field.
- Equivalent to two (2) years of full-time, technical, analytical, or administrative experience.
- Additional experience in a job-related field may be substituted for required education on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial management, including fund reconciliation, expenditure tracking, and preparing detailed financial reports.
- Strong organizational skills to effectively coordinate procurement processes, oversee departmental travel approvals, and manage scholarship administration in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Proficient ability to effectively manage scheduling systems, audit academic scheduling data, and troubleshoot student enrollment conflicts.
- Excellent analytical skills to accurately verify database reports, maintain updated lecturer entitlement data, and manage student evaluation processes.
- Functional knowledge of University practices, programs, and/or administrative specialty; knowledge of fiscal analysis techniques; Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, pivot tables, formatting); PeopleSoft and SOLAR experience preferred.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

- The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $3879 - $5475 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $3879 - $7488 per month.
- HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
- This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
- The position is currently hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
