- Position Summary
- Multiple temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant positions available in Campus Recreation.
- Start Date
- Positions available on or after July 31, 2025 and ending on or before August 29, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Job Description/Duties
- Intramural Sports Leads are responsible for monitoring the student assistants of the intramural sports programming including facilities, equipment, officials, and participants. This includes on-sight lead of activities.
Duties include but are not limited to:- Monitor program participants and officials during assigned shifts to ensure adherence to sports policies and procedures.
- Report and document any instances of officials arriving late or missing shifts in the shift report, and promptly notify the day-to-day supervisor.
- Ensure the safety of intramural participants, officials, and equipment at all times.
- Assist with pre-game meetings, team check-ins, and officials' clinics.
- Oversee activity spaces and ensure games begin and end on schedule.
- Perform pre- and post-game responsibilities, including equipment setup/takedown.
- Assist with the inventory, upkeep, and proper storage of intramural equipment.
- Complete and submit shift reports and incident/accident documentation as needed.
- Provide constructive feedback to intramural officials throughout the season.
- Assist in resolving disputes, injuries, and incidents professionally and promptly.
- Educate participants on Campus Recreation and intramural policies.
- Report and address policy violations and unsportsmanlike conduct proactively.
- Facilitate games as an emergency official when needed.
- Assist with marketing initiatives, including staffing, tabling events and outreach efforts.
- Attend all required staff meetings, trainings, and evaluations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in CPR, and Heat Illness. Prior management experience.
- Working knowledge of Fusion, When 2 Work, Microsoft applications.
- Officiating experience.
- Experience in playing intramural sports activities, Experience in managing team captains and players.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Salary Range
- $17.50 per hour.
