Orientation Coordinator (Student Services Professional III) CURRENT CSU SYSTEM-WIDE APPLICANTS ONLY in Chico
***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY*** Working independently, under the general direction of the Director of New Student Orientation and Transition Programs and (NSOT), incumbent performs moderately complex professional services work. This position assists with the design, planning, coordination and implementation of New Student Orientation and Transition Programs. Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling facilities, recruiting and training student staff, assisting in the development and delivery of presentations, and providing communication to student participants and guests. Incumbent will also facilitate workshops and training for student peer leaders as well as presentations to student and parent/guest orientation participants; assist with the training of student staff to support academic advising as part of the orientation program; incumbent will assist with collaboration with partner offices including academic departments, individual faculty advisors, student service offices, and enrollment management entities. This position requires the ability to develop familiarity with university programs, processes, policies and services and the ability to work independently without day-to-day supervision. This position assists with creating a welcoming introduction to the university and operates in a fast-paced, deadline driven, office with a high level of student and public contact.
