POSITION |
The Department of Counseling & Psychological Services at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its part-time Counselor pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student centered in the following subject areas:

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION |
Regular performance evaluations of part-time counselors are made by the department in accord with the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070. These performance evaluations determine which counselors will be retained for future and continued counseling assignments. And in some instances, evaluations, assignments and reading material will be reviewed by the departmental personnel committee. |
COMPENSATION |
The temporary Counselor classification salary range is $7,830 to $14,109 per month Salary offered is commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, the California Equal Pay Act prohibits employers from paying its employees less than those of the opposite sex and/or another race or ethnicity for substantially similar work (https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/california_equal_pay_act.htm). . |
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT |
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides support for students facing personal challenges and mental health concerns. Services offered at CAPS include short-term individual counseling, group counseling, case management and referral, psychoeducational workshops, and crisis intervention. The CAPS team is comprised of mental health professionals including psychologists, social workers, and marriage and family therapists who specialize in working with a diverse college student population. Services are also provided by graduate-level psychology interns working under the supervision of a licensed counselor. For more information about CAPS, visit Fullerton.edu/caps. |
