We invite qualified candidates to apply for the position of Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Division in our Sustainment & Readiness Sector. The Advanced Manufacturing Division has over 90 employees supporting annual revenues of over $70M. The researchers of this division are located in Dayton, OH and Warner Robins, GA. The division research is focused in the areas of advanced manufacturing, production control and logistics, and repair technologies. Established as the research arm of the University of Dayton in 1956, UDRI achieved $3 billion in cumulative sponsored research in 2022. Sponsored research for 2024 alone exceeded $250 million. UDRI is ranked first in the nation among all colleges and universities for sponsored materials research, according to the National Science Foundation. In Ohio, UDRI is number one among colleges and universities receiving contracts and grants from the Department of Defense and number one among colleges and universities for sponsored research and development in industrial and manufacturing engineering, as well as aerospace engineering. UDRIs Sustainment and Readiness sector performs innovative research & development from TRLs 5-8, including design and manufacturing repair, advanced manufacturing repair, and materials characterization.
