UDRI’s Sustainment Technologies Transition (STT) division closely supports the USAF in technology transition of advanced manufacturing technologies. This position is located at UDRI’s facility in Dayton, OH and will focus on supporting transition of additive manufacturing (AM) and repair technologies using non-destructive evaluation (NDE) methods of x-ray computed tomography (XCT), digital radiography (DR), x-ray diffraction (XRD), electromagnetic testing (ET), immersion ultrasonic testing (UT), and fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI). Key tasks include applying USAF and industry standards and best practices to establish NDE acceptance and rejection criteria, inspection methods, and procedures for emerging technologies, as well as performing and reporting XCT scanning, reconstruction, and analysis. |
