This is a Full-Time Faculty position. Job Summary: |
Full-time teaching faculty provide instruction aligned with the college’s strategic goals and evaluate students’ progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals. The Full-Time FSS instructor will be responsible for teaching courses within the Fire Science and Safety program and the Emergency Medical Technician-Basic & Paramedic programs, encompassing both foundational and advanced technical topics. The instructor will be expected to create an inclusive learning environment that respects and values all students' diverse backgrounds and experiences in the classroom and the broader college community |

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: |
Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Fire Administration, Emergency Medical Services, or related field. Possession of the following Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal certifications: Basic Operations Firefighter, Advanced Technician Firefighter, Fire Apparatus Engineer, Company Fire Officer, Advanced Fire Officer, Fire Instructor II. Licensed Illinois Department of Public Health Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic, Illinois Department of Public Health Lead Instructor (or ability to obtain). A commitment to student success, continuous improvement of teaching methodologies, and staying current with technological advancements in the field. |

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: |
Master’s degree in Public Safety Related field. Extensive experience in various teaching modalities, including on-campus and online. |
