Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Typing, Excel knowledge, organization, communication

Position Summary/Job Duties:

1. Assist with Infection Prevention auditing as needed on the units. This may include, but not limited to hand hygiene observations, compliance with isolation, PPE use, and soiled instrument management.
2. Environmental Monitoring to evaluate disinfection practices.
3. Assist with data entry, filing, laminating, scanning and other clerical work.
4. Participates in educational opportunities to increase knowledge of Infection Control concepts.

Additional details:
1. Organize and prioritize while taking responsibility for timely completion.
2. Communication skills to include seeking clarification if unsure of next steps, reporting discrepancies immediately, and updates of progress.
3. Confidential information will be handled as prescribed by Meriter policy.
4. Knowledge of Microsoft software a must (e.g., Word, Excel, Teams).
5. Ability to take initiative on projects and work independently.
6. Helpful to have microbiology background, but not required.
