Qualifications:

Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled as a graduate student at UW-Madison
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working one-on-one and following detailed instructions
• Familiarity with accessibility tools and/or willingness to learn
• Reliability and discretion are essential

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in administrative support
• Strong computer skills

THIS IS A YEAR-ROUND POSITION.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Graduate student with prior office experience, proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets, problem-solving ability, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Assist with reading, organizing, and responding to email and written correspondence
• Help with navigating digital platforms such as course management systems (e.g., Canvas)
• Schedule and manage appointments, meetings, and calendar entries
• Support in preparing instructional materials and documents in accessible formats
• Provide in-person guidance within the office, classroom, or around campus as needed
• Operate standard office technology and software; assist with accessible tech tools
• Assist in filing, copying, data entry, and other administrative duties
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries

This is a 33.4% appointment with a university standard pay rate. The compensation package for this position also includes tuition remission, benefits, and vacation. Moreover, this position allows a flexible work schedule.

Physical Demands:

Sedentary work. Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
