Department Overview:

 The College of Letters & Science (L&S) is home to a tremendous breadth and depth of departments and degree-granting programs in the Art and Humanities, Natural, Physical, and Mathematical Sciences, Social Sciences and the School of Computer, Data, and Information Sciences. The Dean’s Office houses the L&S Dean, Associate Dean for Innovation and Strategy, Associate Dean for Innovation and Strategic Budgeting, Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence, and the Executive Assistant to the Dean.

Schedule:

 Flexible schedule Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Additional hours may be available during summer and school breaks. 

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

 $15.00

Qualifications:

 • Currently enrolled student
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work on-site

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Attention to detail, organized and dependable work habits, self-motivated and able to take initiative
• Have great communication skills
• Customer service experience a plus but not required
• Ability to triage requests and multitask
• Familiarity with office applications and equipment (e.g. e-calendars and copy machines)
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Act as the first point of contact for clients and visitors in greeting/answering phones
• General assistant duties such as keeping office members on schedule and gathering appropriate materials as requested
• Manage office supply inventory and orders
• Additionally, this role will support various tasks and projects as assigned
