Qualifications: |
Must be enrolled in the ACE Personal Trainer Exam Prep Course. https://recwell.wisc.edu/acefitness/ Candidates who have or are working toward another NCCA accredited personal training certification will be considered on a case by case basis. |

Position Summary/Job Duties: |
The Mentorship Program coincides with the ACE Course and is designed to prepare participants for employment at Rec Well as a Personal Trainer. The time commitment for this program is approximately 32 hours total over 10 weeks (average of 3 hours/week). Mentees are Rec Well employees and are paid for their time during this program at a rate of $15/hour. The program includes being assigned a personal training mentor, attending two orientations and four workshops (biomechanics, assessment, programming, group training), a meeting with your mentor, shadowing three personal training sessions, performing three mock sessions (assessment, programing, and session), and attending five group fitness classes as a participant. Enrollment in the ACE course or working toward a NCCA accredited personal training certification is required for the Mentorship Program. |
