The MJLSP is a merit-based scholarship program that serves over 500 high-achieving students from historically underrepresented backgrounds who receive a full tuition award when admitted to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Leadership Advisory Board Members will serve freshman and sophomore scholars who hold leadership positions. We encourage Junior and Senior scholars with more than one year of serving in a leadership position in MJLSP to apply. |

Qualifications: |
● Current UW-Madison student must be in good academic standing with the university. ● Possess cultural awareness, humility, and responsiveness, as well as a strong capacity to work effectively with a diverse population of staff, scholars, and other stakeholders. ● Able to make a two-semester commitment from October 2024 through May 2025 ● Preference to a MJL Scholar with previous experience in a leadership position with the program, although not required. Applicants must be reliable, self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented. The ideal applicant will have exceptional leadership, facilitation, and mentorship abilities, the ability to work with minimal supervision, follow detailed instructions, and willingness to collaborate with team members. They will have an elevated level of knowledge of Mercile J. Lee Scholars Program, the responsibilities and challenges of the MJLSP Chairs positions, and student-led programming. |
