MEP brings together the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) and the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in a locally based, nationally relevant, research-practice partnership. MEP joins research and practice by engaging in mutually defined, high-quality, problem-based research that contributes to policy, builds capacity, and strengthens practice. Collaborating on MEP are UW Madison researchers and faculty; MMSD administration, teachers and staff; and stakeholders from the broader Madison community. The partnership enables research to be conducted more quickly and results released more efficiently—to advance strategies that benefit Madison students, families, and schools. |

Minimum 2 days a week, Monday-Friday 2-5 hours a day, between 11:45am-4:15pm which includes 15 min to prep for each session, a 30 minute tutoring session, and a 15 minute reflection. (there are 3 time blocks available daily, between 11:45am-4:15pm) |

Qualifications: |
Must be federal Work Study eligible and a currently enrolled UW-Madison student Interest in math education or math tutoring Must have availability to work a minimum of 2 days a week between 11:45a-4:15p Prior tutoring experience is a plus, but not required - comprehensive orientation and training are provided through Madison Metropolitan School District and the Morgridge Center for Public Service. |

Position Summary/Job Duties: |
Program provides math tutoring support to students attending Sherman Middle School. Tutors will report to the MEP Research Coordinator who will assist in setting up a tutoring schedule depending on student and classroom needs. |
