Position Summary
The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health is recruiting a casual employee to contribute to the Injury Free Coalition for Kids, National Program Office. This public health program is dedicated to reducing unintentional injuries to children and creating safe places for families to live, work and play. This position will work with the NPO Administrator on communications and marketing activities for the National Injury Prevention Day (NIPD) and the Injury Free Coalition for Kids. The incumbent will assist in promoting the events in various social media platforms and monitoring the NIPD webpage for new entries and inquiries. The incumbent will also be part of the social media subcommittee and assist with injury prevention education events leading up the NIPD.
Responsibilities
Promote and Communicate National Injury Prevention Day - 25%
Assist with the facilitation of Stop the Bleed and Hands Only CPR courses - 20%
Assist in presentations of results and supporting material for training and education 25%
Webpage design and handling social media. 25%
Perform other related duties as assigned - 5%
Minimum Qualifications

A High School degree and experience in injury prevention, community-based education and promoting events and activities.

The successful candidate must be bilingual with experience with planning injury prevention educational events and activities in the communities of Washington Heights and Inwood. They should have attention to detail and demonstrated ability to be flexible to the programs evolving needs. Experienced in Webpage and handling multiple social media pages. Facilitator of Stop the Bleed and Hands only CPR courses.
Preferred Qualifications
