Position Summary
The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Office of Community Outreach and Engagement is hiring a Sr. Program Coordinator to assist with a new center called SoCA, funded through the National Cancer Institute. The multi-institutional center will host two large projects in persistent poverty communities in NYC.
Responsibilities
The Sr. Program Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:
- Work closely with the PIs and co-investigators to execute research programs and protocols in compliance with all regulatory and institutional requirements.
- Lead communication and project management for the overall study team.
- Work with investigators, and other program managers to produce regular reports on study progress.
- Develop and implement uniform and effective processes and systems across the SoCa Cores.
- Facilitate and coordinate all necessary internal meetings to drive the research agenda forward.
- Maintain detailed records of meeting minutes, agendas and action items and facilitate tasks that need to be completed among project staff and external partners.
- Preparation of IRB applications, modifications and annual IRB renewals.
- Preparation and submission of annual progress reports.
- Manage ongoing record-keeping of grant activities ensuring appropriate deliverables are being met.
- May be involved in the development, review, submission and renewal of related grants, contracts and subcontract proposals.
- Track and record all outreach and dissemination by Center members.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience plus 3 years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related science.

- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
