About the Role

We’re seeking an After-Hours Travel Manager – Team Leader to work closely with the Area Leader in managing our operational after-hours service team. In this role, you’ll be hands-on in the operation while also driving leadership, performance, staff development, and service excellence.

You will ensure world-class travel management service for our corporate customers, support team productivity, and help deliver on business strategies that drive retention, growth, and service consistency through the CT One Best Way framework.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

• Deliver exceptional and proactive customer service to all FCTG Corporate customers
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
• Promote effective, clear, and consistent communication across teams
• Develop and enhance operational knowledge and systems capability
• Identify and reduce service failures
• Ensure adherence to OBW processes for consistent customer experience
• Meet and exceed customer SLAs and key KPIs
• Engage cross-functional teams to support world-class customer service

Leadership & People Management

• Lead, motivate, and inspire team members to excel in the after-hours environment
• Conduct performance reviews and support staff development
• Manage staffing, scheduling, availability, discipline, and continuity
• Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging team environment
• Drive alignment with business strategies and long-term goals
• Represent the FCTG Corporate brand internally and externally
• Manage resources effectively within a complex roster structure

What You Bring

Qualifications

• Matric (Required)
• Travel & Tourism tertiary qualification (Advantageous)

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Corporate Travel
• GDS experience (Amadeus required)
• Leadership experience (advantageous)
• Strong fares knowledge (date changes, refunds, reissues)
• Extensive industry and travel product knowledge
• High customer service ethic and client focus
