Traffic Manager Design & Digital (Project Manager) - Melbourne, VIC
Job no: 530365
Work type: Full time
Location: Victoria
Categories: Digital and Technology

At FCM Meetings & Events, we’re reshaping how people connect. Join a bold, future focused team where strategy, creativity, and technology come together to create standout experiences. We’re lean, agile, and backed by the global strength and scale of Flight Centre Travel Group and FCM Travel.
We are recruiting a Traffic Manager Design & Digital (Project Manager) where you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day project management of the Digital & Design Studio’s workflow.
This is not a traditional traffic role. We are a creative agency within an events agency within a global travel business, which means the pace is real, the work is varied, and the expectations are high.
You’ll work alongside the Art Director, Graphic Designers, Digital experts, Creative Director, Creative Producer, and the Head of Creative Services to shape how work moves, bringing structure without slowing creativity, and helping a talented team do their best work.
At peak times, you’re comfortable stepping onto the tools to support delivery, adding variety to the role. You bring enough design capability to contribute when needed, helping the team maintain momentum without compromising quality.
What you will be doing:
-
Own workflow and triage, assess incoming briefs in Wrike, clarify scope, and prioritise what matters most
-
Plan capacity with intent, allocating work based on skill, bandwidth and strategic priority
-
Orchestrate delivery, running pipeline conversations, resolving bottlenecks, and keep projects moving
-
Manage stakeholders, communicate timelines, trade-offs and risks with clarity and confidence
-
Optimise how we work, refine processes, improve systems, and remove friction from delivery
-
Protect quality, ensure all work moves through the right checkpoints before reaching clients
What you will bring to the role:
You might be a designer ready to step into coordination, or a Traffic or Project Manager with strong creative fluency.
You understand the reality of immovable event deadlines and thrive in environments where pace and precision matter.
Either way, you understand how creative work really happens.
-
Demonstrated background in graphic design (ideally 6+ years), with the ability to speak the language of creatives
-
Experience in traffic, workflow or project coordination (ideally 4+ years) within a fast-paced environment
-
Ability to balance high standards with high care, for the work and the people doing it
-
Confidence in having honest conversations about capacity and priorities and trade-offs
-
Strong problem-solving instincts, with the ability to identify and resolve issues early
-
Highly organised, proactive, and focused on making things run well
-
Ability to collaborate effectively with both creatively and commercially focused stakeholders
