We’re looking for a Team Leader to drive our AOG operation, combining strong people leadership with around 50% hands-on consulting. About the Role
You'll be leading a small, highly skilled AOG team where trust, speed, and expertise are critical.
You will:
- Lead, coach, and support consultants within our AOG team.
- Create a high-performing, resilient team culture aligned to FCM values.
- Remain hands-on, consulting around 50% of the time on complex and time-critical AOG bookings.
- Act as an escalation point and subject matter expert during disruptions and emergencies.
- Drive service excellence, accuracy, and strong commercial outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Support onboarding, training, performance management, and development of your team.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and customer experience in a high-pressure environment.
- Full time 40 hour role.
Location & Flexibility
- Auckland-based? Enjoy our city office, hybrid working, and an amazing in-office culture.
- We also have offices in Wellington, Tauranga and Christchurch, offering hybrid options across these locations.
- Outside Auckland? We offer fully remote opportunities, backed by a strong, well-established remote community; however, being based near one of our offices is preferable.
Skills & Experience
What makes a great AOG Leader (and Flightie):
- Proven experience in corporate travel consulting.
- AOG experience or exposure to highly complex, time‑sensitive travel environments.
- Leadership, senior consultant, mentoring, or coaching experience (formal or informal).
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong airfare, reissue, and change process knowledge (VTP experience a bonus).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes and competing priorities.
- Confident communicator who can connect with both office-based and remote teams.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and passion for developing others.
