The Procurement Specialist will provide end to end procurement services for IT requirements across the whole of Flight Centre. This role will include tasks such as negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts as well as conducting sourcing activities.
Day to day:
- Partner with key procurement and business partners to determine their business needs, and provide procurement statuses and insights to inform procurement decisions and assist in the development of innovative procurement and supply management strategies, policies and processes
- Undertake business needs assessment, supply market analysis and commercial risk assessments to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions
- Provide sound advice to stakeholders on the formulation of contract clauses, as well as strategies to manage supplier performance and development, improve future contract outcomes and build the overall effectiveness of the procurement function
- Develop, co-ordinate and lead sourcing activities to establish supply arrangements that meet business needs
- Plan and lead contract negotiations and review of supply arrangements to deliver value for money procurement outcomes
- Partner with staff from across the organisation providing high level advice and guidance to build expertise in procurement, provide governance and improve procurement practice and outcomes
- Identify, manage and mitigate procurement risks to enable the organisation to meet its obligations and maximise business opportunity
- Document procurement processes, decisions and contractual arrangements fully to provide an audit trail for probity and audit purposes
You'll be perfect for the role if you have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT procurement, Software Asset Management or Licensing
- Eager to learn about and engage with emerging technologies
- Experience in contract management and relationship management
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Aptitude for solving problems and thinking outside the box
- Travel industry experience - desirable
