About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially minded Senior Manager in Finance to lead our transactional finance and focus on Transformation & Automation across China. We are looking for an experienced finance leader who combines operational excellence with a passion for process transformation, automation, and AI-driven productivity. Reporting directly to the Finance Director of Greater China, you will lead Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and partner closely with technology leaders to modernize finance processes.

What you will do

• Review transactional finance processes and partner with stakeholders to eliminate manual work, improve controls, and increase operational efficiency.
• Establish and implement efficient and secure operation procedures, ensure readiness of documentation for audit, enhance control of company asset security.
• Lead the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions across Greater China, ensuring operational excellence, accuracy, and timely delivery of all transactional finance activities.
• Own key operational KPIs including DSO, aged debt, SLA performance, cost per transaction, and automation rate.
• Oversight of outsourced/offshore AR and AP resources.
• Lead, develop, and mentor high-performing AR and AP teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
• Monitor SLAs, deliver clear communication to team members, ensure project progress and client satisfaction.
• Simplify complex operational and financial challenges, providing practical solutions and clear communication to business stakeholders.
• Champion adoption of automation, AI, and technology-enabled finance processes across the transactional finance function.
• Own KPI for transactional automation, collaborate with tech department leaders to boost automation and productivity
• Review and approve financial data and transactional outputs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local regulatory requirements and Group standards. Assist KL-based accountant on financial reporting and compliance.
• Engage in audit support and ensure readiness across the entire process
• Own 13-week cashflow forecast, monitor and ensure sufficient liquidity, regulate use of debt facilities
• Support the Finance Director on finance operations, transformation initiatives, and strategic projects, acting as delegate when required.
• Partner with business leaders across Greater China to provide commercially focused financial support and drive continuous improvement across the finance function.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
• 6–10+ years of experience in finance operations, shared services, controllership, or finance transformation
• Strong experience leading Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable functions
• Demonstrated success delivering finance process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives
• Experience working in multinational organizations
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, controls, and compliance requirements
• Experience with China finance operations and regulatory requirements is essential
• Exposure to Hong Kong operations is advantageous
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
• Business-level English communication skills
• Proven ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve finance productivity
