About the Opportunity

As a Product Specialist for Japan – Platform Services, you'll be responsible for the operational stability, configuration accuracy, and day-to-day behaviour of Japan's platform workflows across Amadeus, domestic OBTs, JREast, local supplier integrations, MBO systems, Hotel Master, and Adyen payment flows.

We are looking for a hands-on technical specialist with deep functional knowledge of Japan's GDS and supplier ecosystem who can interpret upstream behaviour, execute configuration updates with precision, and maintain data accuracy. Working closely with the Product Manager, you'll provide the critical hands-on support required to operationalise Japan workflows, respond to market nuances quickly, and ensure every workflow impacting Japan is stable, accurate, and aligned with Japan Finance and Operations.

What You Will Do

  • Execute workflow updates, configuration changes, and hands-on testing for Japan's domestic OBT connections, JREast integrations, and local supplier APIs
  • Translate Japan workflow logic into MBO configuration rules and ensure correct financial posting behaviour
  • Maintain and update the Japan Hotel Master by validating monthly JLAN files and correcting mapping gaps
  • Monitor, validate, and troubleshoot Adyen → TINA payment and refund flows, identifying webhook failures and tracking event queues
  • Conduct end-to-end supplier integration testing (SIT) with ANA, JLAN, JREast when they introduce system changes
  • Interpret Japanese-language API documentation and translate behavioural requirements into system updates
  • Update mapping tables, workflow rules, and posting logic in TINA based on product requirements
  • Investigate ingestion issues across Amadeus, FCM Booking Japan, OBT, and MBO systems
  • Trace booking, fare, and payment data flows to identify exactly where data breaks, mismatches, or missing fields occur
  • Document root cause analysis with replication steps and recommended fixes
  • Respond to Operations and Finance queries with clear bilingual guidance
  • Maintain accurate workflow documentation in Japanese and English
  • Provide structured updates on investigations, workflow clarifications, and configuration changes

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance Technology, or related discipline
  • 5–7 years' experience in product, systems, or operational support, ideally within travel, financial, or mid/back-office environments
  • Deep hands-on experience with Amadeus, including Japan market workflows and carrier-specific behaviours
  • Business-level Japanese proficiency (spoken and written) for direct collaboration with Japan stakeholders
  • Able to read and interpret Japanese supplier API documentation, test scenarios, and system behaviour
  • Strong ability to translate Finance requirements into mid/back-office configuration rules and workflow behaviours
  • Demonstrated strength in issue investigation and delivering structured root-cause analysis
  • Configuration execution expertise with ability to validate mapping, posting rules, and booking behaviour
  • Strong documentation discipline and ability to communicate clearly with Finance, Operations, and Product teams
  • Detail-oriented problem solver who can break down ambiguous issues into clear root causes
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with Japan teams while guiding them through process or configuration changes
