TRAVEL EXPERT, TAILORMADE SALES – GIT

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take ownership of tailor-made and ad-hoc group travel enquiries from initial brief through to booking confirmation.
• Consult with travel agents and partners to understand traveller needs, preferences, expectations, and budgets.
• Design personalized and commercially viable itineraries that align with client requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agents and partners through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize booking value and customer satisfaction.
• Recommend suitable products, experiences, and accommodation upgrades.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of bookings, documentation, invoicing, and system updates.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of travel arrangements.
• Support the Team Leader in strengthening relationships with key travel partners and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain a high level of destination, product, and supplier knowledge through ongoing learning and development.
• Share destination expertise and market insights with team members to enhance overall team capability.
• Support onboarding, coaching, and development of new team members and interns as required.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve sales performance, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to personal growth and continuous improvement.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year of experience within the tourism industry or inbound tourism is desirable.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required.
• Additional European language skills are advantageous.
• Strong sales capability with a customer-focused approach.
• Advanced computer skills and confidence learning new systems.
• Excellent communication skills across phone, video calls, email, and messaging platforms.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Willingness to travel for business when required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Discova systems is advantageous.
