About the Opportunity

AVMIN Air Charter Specialists is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to support the smooth financial operation of our growing business.

Based in our Docklands head office, you will play an important role in ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and supporting reporting activities across the finance function.

Working closely with the Finance Manager and broader business teams, you'll contribute to operational efficiency while delivering a high standard of service.

What you will do:

  • Assist with bookkeeping activities including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
  • Prepare reports and spreadsheets to support business requirements
  • Provide administrative and reporting support to the senior finance team
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders to support financial processes
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Contribute to accurate financial reporting and transaction management
  • Maintain high standards of organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail

 

What you will need:

  • Experience in accounts administration, bookkeeping, finance administration, or a similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
  • Ability to generate and interpret financial reports
  • Certificate III or IV in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • Formal training or certification in MYOB AccountRight
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting or Finance is desirable
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a customer-first mindset
