The Role 

We are seeking a Plant Maintenance Administrator to join our team down in the Naval base. The purpose of this position is to effectively administer site documentation and provide operational support to the Infrastructure Plant Department.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Daily data entry and consolidation of paperwork for workshop plant and personnel into various databases (plant registers, MEX, ARC, etc)
  • Exception reports for plant and personnel i.e.; missing dockets, timesheets, pre-starts and work orders. 
  • Create, administer and receipt purchase orders and work orders as requested
  • Purchase order processing and job cost allocation
  • Mobilise/demobilise of workshop personnel and plant
  • Scheduling vehicle repairs in conjunction with the Workshop & Plant Manager
  • Maintenance of plant and equipment records – SMU hours, breakdowns, min hours, utilisation, fuel consumption, and movements.
  • Mid-month notifications to projects with reporting timeframes
  • End-of-month reconciliations for internal/ad hoc external labour and plant
  • End-of-month cost reviews – open orders, unreconciled dockets, ledger reconciliations
  • Supplier set up and compliance
  • Data entry of timesheets for internal/external workshop labour
  • Assist generation of reports as required
  • Maintain plant office consumables, stationary, PPE and other allocated stock
  • Ad hoc parts runs & duties as reasonably required
  • General administration and any other reasonable duties as instructed


The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Construction industry experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge specifically Excel, Jobpac, Mex
  • Familiarity with plant maintenance and purchasing systems 


Safety, Quality & Environment

  • Report safety issues to immediate supervisor
  • Take steps to address safety issues and risk within your control/capability to do so
  • Conduct quality assurance duties to client specifications.
  • Ensure quality documentation is reviewed and stored in accordance to SRG’s guidelines
  • Report environmental hazards and occurrences
  • Take steps to minimise environmental exposure in the event of an occurrence
