The role:

We are seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our Perth-based team to be responsible for providing and designing formwork engineering solutions for major infrastructure and building projects.

Monday to Friday position working out of our Garden Island location, and other sites as required by the business.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Civil or Structural Engineer graduate or someone who has working experience as a Structural Engineer.


What You’ll Be Doing:

This is your opportunity to work alongside industry leaders, learn hands-on, and contribute meaningfully from day one. Your role will include:

  • Gaining a deep understanding of formwork and scaffold systems, including products and applications.
  • Designing temporary works using structural engineering principles and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Interpreting technical data and product literature to support safe and efficient solutions.
  • Supporting project tenders by assisting with quantity checks, estimation, and pricing.
  • Helping prepare project documentation including progress claims and variations.
  • Conducting on-site formwork inspections with third-party certifiers.
  • Liaising with site teams, clients, and construction managers to ensure engineering designs are implemented effectively.
  • Managing and controlling project documents and design files.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering (must be graduated and not currently studying).
  • Construction White Card.
  • Internship or exposure to construction/formwork industries (advantageous but not essential).
  • Ability to meet the minimum requirements to work on a government defense work site


Skills & Attributes You Bring

  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced engineering team.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, BlueBeam, or structural analysis software (a bonus).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptable, organised, and able to prioritise multiple tasks.


Safety, Quality & Environment

  • Report safety issues to immediate supervisor
  • Take steps to address safety issues and risk within your control/capability to do so
  • Conduct quality assurance duties to client specifications.
  • Ensure quality documentation is reviewed and stored in accordance to SRG’s guidelines
  • Report environmental hazards and occurrences
  • Take steps to minimise environmental exposure in the event of an occurrence
