The Role
Senior Project Engineer to join our team to support our Civil division undergoing a complex infrastructure project in Southeast Queensland involving critical structural stabilisation and reinforcement works.
This role reports to the Project Manager and will work closely with site personnel onsite ensuring prompt project delivery and quality works.
This is a permanent role with SRG Global. This role offers the prospect of transitioning to other upcoming and ongoing Civil projects after the current project concludes.
In addition to working with a great team, the successful applicant will receive ongoing project exposure allowing you to further develop your technical and project management skills.
Please note there is no DIDO/FIFO arrangement in place for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project documentation: technical, safety, environmental, and quality deliverables.
- Provide technical support to project teams; monitor performance via KPIs.
- Ensure conformity of project activities with specifications and QSE standards.
- Assist Project Manager with construction, operations, and maintenance.
- Guide surveying for construction guidance and assess project feasibility.
- Analyse survey reports and resolve issues through proper processes (TQs/RFI).
- Contribute innovative constructability options and encourage teamwork for compliance.
- Conduct quality audits, oversee construction, and maintain project documentation.
- Assist with tender preparation and manage project controls.
- Coordinate QAQC testing for compliance and participate in accurate surveying.
- Monitor procurement to meet commercial and quality objectives.
- Manage project administration, including cost recording and reporting.
- Administer procurement per SRG standards.
- Manage project schedules, report milestones, and identify resource gaps.
- Prepare project variation recommendations, cost estimates, and contract negotiations.
- Implement relevant QA documents to acceptable standards.
- Develop inspection test plans and traceability procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance and report Non-Conformances for resolution.
- Maintain SRG IMS processes and assist with audits, addressing issues promptly.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification required
- Previous experience on complex infrastructure projects is essential
- Experience working with post tensioning, ground anchoring or Dam Strengthening or water retaining structures.( highly regarded)
- Strong communication and planning skills
- Demonstrated experience in effective HSQE management
- Hold a current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Pass a pre-employment medical and D&A
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Primavera and AutoCAD (desirable).
