The Role
Project Engineer to join our team to support our Civil division undergoing a complex infrastructure project in Southeast Queensland involving critical structural stabilisation and reinforcement works.
This role will report to the Project Manager and will work closely with site personnel on-site, ensuring prompt project delivery and quality work. Training will be provided as necessary.
In addition to working with a great team, the successful applicant will receive ongoing project exposure allowing you to develop your technical and project management skills further.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare project-specific documentation, including technical, safety, environmental, and quality deliverables.
- Provide technical support to ensure project objectives are met and monitor performance via KPIs.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and QSE standards.
- Advise on design, construction, and repairs to industrial or managerial personnel.
- Assist the site team with construction and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate to assess material and labour costs for project feasibility.
- Analyse various project-related reports and data.
- Resolve issues through Technical Queries (TQs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Conduct quality audits and address identified shortcomings.
- Oversee specific construction and maintenance activities as directed.
- Maintain project documents and registers.
- Manage QAQC testing activities to ensure compliance.
- Monitor procurement activities to meet commercial and quality targets.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with post tensioning, ground anchoring or Dam Strengthening or water retaining structures.( highly regarded)
- Demonstrated commercial acumen.
- Experience using Microsoft Project and Primavera (Desirable).
- Strong communication and planning skills.
- Demonstrated experience in effective HSQE management.
