The Role:

SRG Global Civil Pty Ltd (part of SRG Global Group) has immediate full-time career opportunities for suitably experienced Specialist Civil Technician’s to work on a specialist dam project, 50km north of Brisbane. This role will offer the right candidate:

• Exposure in large-scale Dam anchoring projects

• Opportunity to gain technical experience in multistrand post-tensioning ground anchors

The role involves working alongside other SRG operational teams onsite both internally and client based.

Key Responsibilities:

To provide specialist technical services for the fabrication, transportation, installation, grouting, tensioning and finishing of permanent high capacity multistrand post-tensioned ground anchors in dams.

Key Tasks and Duties:

• Permanent Anchoring work, primarily supervision and undertaking critical activities will include, but not be limited to, the following highly technical and uniquely specialised tasks specific to the High-Capacity Ground Anchoring Trade

• Manufacture, installation, grouting and tensioning of the highest capacity permanent ground anchors in the world (with breaking loads over 2500t and consisting of up to 91 strands) with lengths of 100m plus.

• Pushing of strand utilising bespoke pushing / greasing equipment to ensure 100% grease encapsulation of the strand within the poly tubing over the free length of the anchor.
• Assembling / fabricating anchors in accordance with the SRG design drawings and field checklists.
• To ensure safety standards are continually reported and maintained on sites. To report any incidents and /or injuries and forward details to the QSE Manager for review.

 About you:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant industry experience.
• White card
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and ability to use programs to compile reports.
• Ability to read and understand standards, procedures and drawings relating to inspection tasks,
• Ability to work and contribute as part of a team.
