SRG Global is currently looking for experienced Mechanical Trade Assistants to work a 5-day local Shutdown in Kwinana. You will support shutdown and maintenance activities by preparing equipment, assisting with the removal and installation of mechanical components, and performing routine tasks under supervision. This role involves contributing to both preventative and corrective maintenance as part of grouped or campaign maintenance programs. You will work closely with mechanical fitters, crane operators, and scaffolders to ensure maintenance operations are carried out efficiently and safely.

Shutdown Dates:

• Main shutdown – Commences on the 10^th November till 14^th November   

 Flexibility:

• Casual Flat Rate.
• 12 Hour Days Night Shift/Day Shift.

The Opportunity:

• Assisting riggers and trades personnel with lifting and rigging tasks on fixed plant equipment such as tanks, hoppers, chutes, conveyors, and structural components.
• Provided hands-on support during shutdowns and maintenance work, including preparation, removal, and installation of heavy plant components.
• Helped set up and pack down equipment for dual lifts and complex rigging operations under the guidance of qualified personnel.
• Worked alongside crane crews, mechanical fitters, and scaffolders to ensure smooth workflow and safe work practices on site.
• Followed all site safety procedures, including those relating to high-risk activities, and ensured work areas were clean, safe, and compliant.

What You Need:

• Working at Heights & Confined Space (Within 2 years).
• Construction White Card
• Pass a pre-employment medical.
• Hold a current driver’s license
