A bit about the role 

You will assess and report on asset condition and maintenance quality for open space mowing services, horticultural gardening services and associated park infrastructure assets under the management control of City of Casey

What you’ll deliver 

  • Perform asset condition and contract performance auditing inspections, recording defects and reporting works through Councils corporate software system.
  • Perform proactive inspections and investigations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of schedules for the above works.
  • Ensure audits are carried out within time constraints.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Operate minor plant, when required.
  • Exercise discretion within standard practices and processes, undertaking and implementing quality control measures.
  • Exercise high precision trade skills using various materials and/or specialised techniques.
  • Provide direction, leadership and on-the-job training to supervised employees or groups of employees.

What you’ll bring 

  • Experience, qualification and/or broad knowledge of open space maintenance activities
  • Victorian driver's licence
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check & Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
