A bit about the role
Join the City of Casey’s Creative Communities team as a Business Support Officer, where you'll play a key role in supporting administrative duties, stakeholder engagement, and project support.
You'll help plan and deliver activities that enrich community life, while also managing internal processes, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating across teams.

What you’ll deliver
- Provide high-level administrative and business support across the Creative Communities Department, ensuring compliance with council policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate successful events, projects, and initiatives.
- Manage and maintain accurate records, databases, documents, and templates in line with corporate and legislative requirements.
- Support procurement, purchasing, and reception duties during peak periods to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Support the planning and delivery of community events, including citizenship ceremonies and public programs.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in administrative or business support, ideally within the community services or local government sector.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal teams, stakeholders, and the public.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and preferably experience using Council systems like OneCouncil.
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and take initiative to get things done.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, and Eligibility to Work check.
