- Band 4 salary from $74,064 to $79,114 + super with a monthly RDO for full time 40 hour weeks

A bit about the role
You will be part of a high performing team of Planning Support Officers, delivering top-tier customer service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless experiences within the Planning and Building service.
You will positively contribute to the innovative, empowered and engaged culture within the Planning and Building Department.
What you’ll deliver
- Process and maintain planning applications and related data within corporate timeframes.
- Prepare various planning-related correspondence (e.g., VCAT correspondence, permits, advertising signs and notices and general correspondence related to planning processes).
- Perform general administrative tasks including workflow management, data entry, and filing.
- Use computer systems to manage applications, customer enquiries, and statutory obligations.
- Provide basic advice on administrative issues and escalate technical enquiries as needed.
- Organise resources and maintain records to support project delivery and meetings.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement using diverse information sources.
What you’ll bring
- Knowledge of statutory planning processes and requirements.
- Experience in administrative roles within a local government planning department.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and systems like TechOne P&R, ECM, and GIS (IntraMaps).
- Strong understanding of administrative procedures and practices.
- Effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders.
- Committed to delivering high-quality customer service.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
- Confident in making decisions within scope of expertise.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check & Eligibility to Work check.
