A bit about the role

You will  play a crucial role in the implementation and administration of statutory planning controls. Your responsibilities will include providing front-line resolution and assistance for customer enquiries, ensuring the delivery of efficient and high-quality planning and subdivision services to the public.

This role also supports other planning staff in maintaining our commitment to excellence in planning services.

What you’ll deliver 

  • Provide assistance with the implementation and administration of Statutory Planning controls.
  • Assist other Planning staff in providing efficient and quality Planning Services.
  • Prepare draft Committee and Council reports, and reports on matters delegated to senior officers, together with appropriate recommendations for consideration by the Manager and/or Team Leader.
  • Provide advice to the Team Leader and Head on Statutory Planning issues when requested.
  • Act as a solution focused customer experience specialist to resolve customer enquiries and complaints

What you’ll bring

  • Substantial progress towards a relevant degree or diploma desirable.
  • Current Victorian drivers license.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work in a face paced environment.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check,
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
