A bit about the role
To coordinate and support asset management activities across Council, contributing to the improvement of the Asset Management Framework and assisting in the delivery of strategic asset management objectives.
What you’ll deliver
- Develop and implement the Asset Management Framework, including policies, strategies, plans, and standards, while ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Oversee asset life-cycle planning and performance monitoring for infrastructure assets such as roads, bridges, drainage, buildings, and open spaces.
- Support data-driven decision-making by enhancing asset data quality, contributing to valuations, predictive modelling, and long-term financial and investment planning.
- Coordinate asset condition assessments and provide expert guidance on asset management practices, legislation compliance (e.g. Road Management Plan), and stakeholder collaboration.
- Act as a central point of contact for asset management advice, reporting, customer queries, and translating service needs into actionable asset and operational plans.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification or substantial experience in Engineering or Asset Management.
- Relevant experience in an Asset Management role aligned with the described responsibilities. Local Government experience is desirable.
- Proven experience in implementing Asset Management
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks, including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
