A bit about the role

Join the dynamic team at Bunjil Place as a Function and Event Attendant, where you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service across a range of events, functions, and retail operations. In this hands-on role, you’ll support the setup and pack-down of function spaces, provide bar and catering services, and ensure a high standard of customer experience throughout the venue.

You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, work across unique settings like the theatre, plaza, and meeting rooms, and contribute to making Bunjil Place a welcoming and vibrant destination for the community.

What you’ll deliver

  • Deliver high-quality customer service at events, functions, and retail outlets across Bunjil Place.
  • Perform bar duties and serve food and beverages in various settings, including theatre, plaza, and function rooms.
  • Set up, deliver, and pack down catering and equipment for meetings and events.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patrons and staff.
  • Uphold Casey City Council’s values and contribute to a child-safe and inclusive community.

What you’ll bring

  • Previous experience in functions, events, or hospitality service roles.
  • A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
