A bit about the role
Support the City of Casey’s Hospitality and Events team with kitchen cleanliness, basic food prep, and event setup and pack down. You’ll be a key contributor to delivering professional and welcoming service across council events, meetings, and staff facilities. With a rotating roster including days, evenings, and weekends, this is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. What you’ll deliver
- General kitchen hygiene and cleaning of kitchen areas, equipment, crockery, cutlery along with storage areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation, stock rotation, and food deliveries in line with the Food Safety Plan.
- Maintain cleanliness of internal staff kitchen hubs.
- Support a rotating roster across functions, events, and general operations, including evenings and weekends to support the kitchen team
What you’ll bring
- Experience in kitchen operations or basic food preparation, with an understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow routine procedures with minimal supervision.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, setting up equipment, and handling hospitality goods.
- Strong reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude towards varied duties and rotating shifts.
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (e.g. Food Safety, First Aid, Working with Children Check)
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Eligibility to Work check, and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
