A bit about the role

You will design, project manage and deliver contemporary, safe, and welcoming public open spaces and streetscapes throughout Casey, ensuring enduring and timeless design outcomes. You will also assist the team in comprehensive preparation of all landscape design projects throughout the municipality. This entails involvement in all project stages from concept design to the creation of tender documentation.

This role will implement creative, best practice, and innovative design outcomes whilst championing design excellence

What you’ll deliver 

  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, organise design workshops, and support on‑site inspections and contract administration.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and internal teams to champion design excellence and ensure alignment with organisational strategies and standards of design viability, practicality, and integrity.
  • Demonstrate strong technical proficiency—especially in tender documentation and AutoCAD—to support senior staff and produce high‑quality plans, graphics, and project documents for a range of landscape projects.
  • Assist in project management, including contract administration, consultant coordination, evaluating plans for compliance, and facilitating community engagement activities
  • Contribute to project delivery by seeking funding opportunities, monitoring budgets, and producing innovative design proposals that reflect the City of Casey’s commitment to design excellence.

What you’ll bring

  • Degree or master’s in landscape architecture.
  • Previous experience working within landscape practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Tender Documentation experience and exceptional AutoCAD skill are required.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check & Eligibility to Work check.
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
