About the Role

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help ensure playing surfaces are safe, visually appealing and meet the expectations of community users and elite sporting clubs.

What You’ll deliver 

  • Maintenance of sports turf and playing surfaces to agreed standards
  • Operation of turf maintenance equipment and machinery
  • Irrigation, mowing, line marking and turf renovation activities
  • Preparation of grounds for sporting events and community use
  • Identification and reporting of turf, irrigation and asset issues
  • Contribution to a safe, productive and collaborative team environment
  • Safe application of turf approved products.

What You’ll Bring 

  • Experience in sports turf, parks, horticulture or grounds maintenance
  • Knowledge of turf management practices and maintenance techniques
  • Ability to safely operate plant, equipment and machinery
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Relevant qualification in Turf Management, Horticulture or related field (desirable)
  • Chem Cert
  • White Card
  • Current Victorian Driver Licence
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
