About the Role
The Community Facilities Officer is responsible for supporting the successful operation of the Old Cheese Factory, one of the City of Casey's premier community venues. This diverse role combines customer service, administration, event support and facilities management to ensure visitors, community groups and venue hirers enjoy a positive experience.
What You’ll deliver
- Provide exceptional customer service and support for community members, visitors, venue hirers and stakeholders using the Old Cheese Factory.
- Coordinate and administer venue bookings, including processing documentation and supporting event and function requirements.
- Prepare and maintain facilities, equipment, gardens and grounds to ensure the site is safe, clean and presentation-ready for weddings, events and community programs.
- Deliver day-to-day operational support, including room set up, pack down, reporting and general administrative duties.
- Lead weekend operations as the primary site supervisor, overseeing bookings, coordinating casual staff and volunteers, and ensuring smooth facility operations.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in a customer-facing role with a strong community focus.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to use initiative and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A hands-on approach, with a willingness to support event, facility and grounds operations.
- Experience working with diverse communities
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Psychometric Testing, and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
