About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic property outcomes that support the future growth and liveability of Casey. Working within the Property and Strategic Development team, you will provide analytical, project and transactional support across Council's property portfolio, with a particular focus on delivering initiatives arising from Council's Affordable Housing Policy Implementation Plan.
You will help identify and evaluate property opportunities, support acquisitions and disposals, undertake property analysis and contribute to evidence-based decision-making that maximises value from Council's assets.
What You’ll deliver
- Support implementation of affordable housing and strategic property initiatives
- Analyse Council-owned land and property opportunities to inform future development outcomes
- Assist with property acquisitions, disposals and associated due diligence processes
- Prepare reports, briefs and recommendations for senior leadership and governance forums
- Maintain property portfolio data and mapping to support strategic decision-making
- Build productive relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, government agencies and community partners
What You’ll Bring
- Qualifications in property, planning, law or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience in property transactions within local government, development, property or professional services environments
- Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of property-related legislation and governance requirements
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability
- Current Driver's Licence
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
