About the Role
The Service Planning Analyst plays a key role in helping shape the future of services at the City of Casey. Working across a range of strategic service planning and review projects, you'll gather, analyse and interpret data from multiple sources, turning complex information into meaningful insights that support informed decision-making. You will support the development of Strategic Service Plans, service reviews and continuous improvement initiatives through research, benchmarking, stakeholder engagement and evidence-based analysis.
More than a data analyst, you'll be a trusted partner to leaders across the organisation, helping them understand the story behind the numbers and supporting the delivery of key messages to stakeholders and senior decision makers. Your work will contribute to reports, presentations and recommendations that influence service planning across one of Victoria's fastest growing municipalities.

What You’ll deliver
- Analyse and interpret data from a range of sources to provide evidence-based insights that support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Turn complex data into clear, meaningful reports, presentations and recommendations for leaders and stakeholders.
- Design and deliver research, benchmarking and analysis activities for Strategic Service Plans, service reviews and improvement initiatives.
- Collect, validate and analyse community, customer, operational, performance and industry data to identify trends, opportunities and emerging issues.
- Partner with managers and stakeholders across the organisation to support the communication of key findings and recommendations.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement activities, workshops, interviews and consultation processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of service planning methodologies, frameworks, tools and practices.
- Build productive relationships across Council and external organisations to gather insights and support project outcomes
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated experience analysing and interpreting complex data, identifying trends and providing actionable insights that support decision-making.
- Strong ability to communicate data and research findings in a clear, engaging and meaningful way to a range of audiences.
- Experience preparing high-quality reports, presentations and recommendations for leaders and stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, reliable information.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively across diverse teams and levels of the organisation.
- Experience conducting research, benchmarking and analysis to support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- A curious mindset, collaborative approach and genuine desire to contribute to a positive team culture.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
